Dr. Murray P. Deckelbaum
Dr. Deckelbaum is the founder of Animal Medical Center at Cooper City. After practicing for 17 years in a shopping center practice, he opened the hospital at the current location with the intention of developing a specialty and emergency and critical care facility that could serve the south Florida community. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1969. His goal is to be sure that every patient receives the best veterinary care available and if that means referring to an appropriate specialist he has assembled a staff of dedicated veterinarians in multiple specialties to achieve that goal.
Dr. Deckelbaum has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, skiing, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is a member of the Florida Veterinary Medical association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and attends multiple continuing education courses annually. He is the Hospital Director and is responsible for trying to make every client's and patient's experience with our hospital a pleasant and satisfying experience. |

Dr. Heather Zaretsky
Dr. Zaretsky is a South Florida native. She grew up in Coral Springs and then attended the University of Florida at Gainesville to complete her undergraduate work and obtain her DVM degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Zaretsky and Milo (her German Shepherd mix) moved back to South Florida so she could complete an internship here at VSSF. When she's not at work, she enjoys going to the beach, horseback riding, scuba diving, and of course, Gator Football. |
